an unexpected death

A blog of this name used to exist in another place. Before that it used to exist here. In the other place, it had an accident. Something unknown to me was causing it to be a space hog, which induced its overlords gracious host to disconnect it from the web. It was sick, invaded by something, and needed to be renewed, restored, revamped before it would be allowed out to play again.

Unfortunately, as sometimes happens, I guess, the operation intended to make it socially acceptable, inflicted a fatal injury instead. This should have been automatic, painless and, even, fantastic. As luck would have it, the gracious hosts had know back-up. Nor did I. Terribly irresponsible. I had had a perfectly functioning backup plug-in chugging away at one point. But that too had been flagged a space hog and so I removed it months ago under threat of banishment. Having grown terribly lazy and trusting by then, I didn’t do any other backups and trusted the ones done by the hosts. My bad.

So, the old stuff is gone. I let it sit for a month, wondering whether to just roll away entirely, especially given that I’ve pretty much not felt like posting all that much lately. I’m still not sure that I’ll have much to say, but I thought I’d at least post this, maybe make links to some of the old audio (which was not effected by the blogicide) and maybe more, I don’t know.
